The ultraviolet spectrum covers wavelengths ranging from a few nanometers (nm) to several hundred nanometers, corresponding to frequencies between 10¹⁴ Hz and 10¹⁷ Hz. As with other parts of the spectrum, there are no sharply defined boundaries.
